The foundation of Holistic Nutrition is tradition based food wisdom coupled with current nutritional research, which encourages a balanced approach to nutritional intake.  While whole, local, seasonal and organic foods are the cornerstone of Holistic Nutrition, this approach is also combined with the principles and theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine to harmonize one’s diet and maximize health and well being.  Focus is placed on the energetic, nutrition content and vitality of food rather than labeling foods as “good” and “bad.”  Moderation and flexibility of one’s diet is emphasized so that a healthy nutritional lifestyle can be maintained long term.

Nutritional Consultation
This in depth consultation includes a thorough assessment of your nutritional, lifestyle and medical history, as well as your nutritional goals.  Tongue and pulse are also taken during this consultation to assess the body from  a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective.  A nutritional plan to address your health and goals is then developed that is practical and maintainable.  Follow up holistic nutrition consultations are available for continued support and modification as needed.

Shopping Consultation
Confused about what to buy at the grocery store?  This one hour trip through the aisles of your favorite grocery store will help.  Focus will be on learning how to easily locate nutritious foods, ways to save money, and helping match your nutritional and health goals with the food you are purchasing.

Pantry Makeover
Do you feel like your pantry needs an overhaul?  If so, then the Pantry Renovation is a perfect solution to either add in more nutritious foods to the favorites you are already using, or refurbish your shelves with additional whole foods.  Whatever your goals, the Pantry Renovation can be a great start to help you reach them.

Cooking Session
Private cooking sessions can help you become excited to cook again!  Maybe cooking with whole foods is intimidating or maybe you just want to learn how to use a new ingredient or try new recipes.  Private cooking sessions are done in the convenience of your home and will be tailored to suit your needs.  All nutritional paths (vegetarian, meat lovers, dairy free, gluten free, etc.) are welcome.
